Frequently asked questions:
How are the apartments equipped?
The equipment of the apartments varies. Most apartments are fully furnished with houseware and furniture (e.g. washing machine, ironing board and iron, dishes, bedlinen and towels, TV, stereo, telephone, complete furnishing etc.)
You find the detailed equipment in the reports.
What are the terms of notice?
Most contracts run with a 1 month term of notice, however, in some cases it might be 2 or 3 month. The period of 1 month allows you to be flexible and to react to changes in your rental needs. Apart from this, we stay in constant touch with the landlords to match the rental deadlines with your specific requirements.
What about a security deposit?
Usually the security deposit equals 1 or 2 month rent. The amount of the security deposit is fixed by the landlord and depends on the kind and duration of renting. Usually, deposits will be payed back either immediately or shortly after leaving the flat.
What about electricity and heating?
Most apartments are offered at a blanket rate. I.e. the price includes all additional expenses (not only the regulary expenses like housing management, garbage, heating but also some individual costs, which in Germany normally are payed by the tenant: electricity or gas). This is especially interesting for companies, who have to calculate their expences over a longer period. In rare cases, though, electricity and gas must be payed by the tenant directly to the energy provider.
Is there a telephone connection?
Almost all apartments have a telephone connection. The kind (analog/ISDN) is different. Telephone costs are not included in the rent. If a working telephone connection is needed, the local telecommunication provider (in most cases Deutsche Telekom) can activate the appropriate connection within a short time.
Can I pay with a credit card?
Payments for comission are possible by credit card. We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express.
